Chrysler Windsor Six 8 Person Limousine

During WWII, Chrysler was one of the manufacturers most active in the wartime effort, securing numerous government contracts. Post-war, Chrysler was not able to reestablish production as quickly as its competitors in part due to the circumstances related to its military contracting. Very few cars were built in 1945, but by 1946 production had ramped up. The U.S. Government actually allowed the production of 200,000 cars in 1945, prior to the end of the war in Asia. By the end of the war, the average car on the road was 10 years old.

This Fleetwood Limousine serves as a lasting example of post-war return to normality and opulence for the American consumer.
